Introducing 'Proudly Angelic,' the heart of my Pride Month 2026 Series. This piece is a tribute to the tug-of-war between our queer identities and the world around us, a reminder that we belong in every space, from the earth to the heavens.
“Proudly Angelic” is the titular masterpiece of the 2026 Pride collection, offering a visceral look at the intersection of LGBTQ+ identity and the societal structures we inhabit. This piece captures the raw, muscular strength of the human form contrasted with the ethereal brilliance of rainbow-hued wings. Kneeling in a sea of golden clouds, the subject’s tattered denim serves as a symbol of the earthly struggles and societal friction faced by the queer community, while his triumphant posture and vibrant wings represent a divine right to exist and flourish.
